1951年在中国西北沙漠地带，解放军某骑兵连奉命对特务头子金冶中及起武装残余进行围剿。经过激烈战斗，敌人大部被歼，但是金冶中和两个敌兵却漏网逃逸。一班长钟永明虽然负伤，却坚持带着战士李玉根和小姜，继续追击穷寇。途中遇到大风，使敌人的遗迹消失，他们便兵分三路继续追寻。不久，小姜追上敌人，只身与敌人进行搏斗，金冶中的坐骑和一敌兵被击毙，但自己也不幸负伤。钟永明、李玉根闻声及时赶到并继续追击敌人。。该剧改编自1962年电影《地雷战》，讲述了师出同门又性格迥异的赵小栋、邢登科、纪山豹，在大敌当前，为公为己各自走向了不同抗日战场的故事。The Future of Work and Death is a documentary concerning the growth of exponential technology and where it is taking us.
