宅再佳失踪，超人们找到了唯一有其失踪线索的一副斗兽棋，却在与反派的争夺中被打碎。八枚斗兽棋棋子由此幻化成八只棋兽散落在勇敢之城各处。为了救出宅再佳，超人们必须收回散落各处的棋兽、破解其中的秘密。而反派为了争夺棋兽，也不断从中作梗。正邪双方围绕棋兽展开了一场激烈的争夺……。Two narrators, one seen and one unseen, discuss possible connections between a series of paintings. The on-screen narrator walks through three-dimensional reproductions of each painting, featuring real people, sometimes moving, in an effort to explain the series' significance.。
