29岁的主人公大贯始从前当过小偷，现在改邪归正，和恋人过着平凡但幸福的小日子。在女朋友生日这一天，他偶然遇到以前的小偷同伙则夫，并被威胁潜入绘本作家前园君的豪宅偷窃。但在整个过程中，大贯始被前来拜访前园君的人分别误认为是“豪宅的主人”“绘本作家”“编辑”，为了不被发现，大贯始使出浑身演技，开始扮演各个角色。。On Christmas Eve in 1968 six-year-old army brat Clairee simultaneously learns the hard truth about Santa Claus and the realities of war. Her bullying older brother Mickey informs her that Santa insn't real and that their absent father is actually far away, serving his country in the Vietnam War。
