本剧讲述了青年医生宫本步在担任整形外科医生的同时，还被任命兼任医院近年来开始大力发展的“山地诊疗科”。高中毕业以来，回到故乡长野的步，因为从小就在山里长大，所以一直对大山有着特殊的感情。作为医生，他没有什么特别的目标，志向也很迷茫，只是一副随大流的样子，但在山地医疗队的日子里，他开始一点点地成长。。The 16 years old amateur photographer Charles accidentally takes a photo of Laura - and falls in love with her, when he develops the picture.
