Thale (17) has just moved with her parents to a small town after her mother has a new job in the local police. After a student is killed brutally at a party Thale attends, she becomes a key witness. A wolf?。故事從創造兩個量子人工智能Kuro 和 Shiro開始：柯博士打造出兩名量子Al黑子與白子，是為了讓他們陪伴博士的漸凍人兒子一起成長。在歷經了Q18的五個單元故事之後，黑子白子逐漸學會了人性，並演化出意識與感情。他們也透過連結量子電腦與人腦，幫助漸凍症少年擄獲了愛情與友誼。 但就在這美好的烏托邦來臨時，博士卻認為科技已經失控，決定親手毁滅掉黑子與白子⋯⋯。
